In 2001 University of Minnesota, Morris alumni who had completed the Outfitters for Adventure Institute of Ministry, were sent from Morris Community Church to plant Harvest Community Church in Fargo, North Dakota.  During the first year teams were sent overseas on short-term missions trips through Outfitters for Adventure.  One church member, Bethany Eastvold, is now a long-term missionary to Northern Ireland.
